OpenTTD 1.1.4

Transport Tycoon Deluxe is one of the most complex business simulation games. It was created by Chris Sawyer and published by Microprose in 1995. OpenTTD is its open source version whose aim is to reflect the complexity and the atmosphere of the original game while introducing some new elements.

OpenTTD supports the imported images and sounds of the original version, at the same time enabling us to download free substitutes from the program’ website (enlarging the installer’s size by 30 MB). Apart from all those elements taken from Transport Tycoon Deluxe, such as transport management, trade, mutual relations between cities, OpenTTD enables us to create large maps (even 64 times larger than in the original game), offers a multiplayer mode (of up to 255 players  in fifteen companies), support for Ipv6 and Ipv4 protocols on dedicated servers and clients, automatic download of new algorithms for the opponent’s artificial intelligence, new algorithms that detect routes and facilitate moving the vehicles, enhanced tools for building roads and railroad, new elements of the environment such as new stations, canals, aqueducts, locks, bigger bridges, modified system of airport management and many other elements. We can say that if Transport Tycoon Deluxe can be considered close to a prefect economic game, OpenTTD definitely is a prefect game.
The program has got a comfortable and user-friendly interface thanks to which we can quickly find out about the gameplay and start creating our own financial empire.
