Connectify 3.2

Connectify is an excellent Internet application addressed to those users who need a simple tool for creating and administering the so-called hot spots – sites that offer Internet access over a wireless local area network. The application has got two versions – a paid and a free one but even its basic version is a very useful and comfortable tool.

Connectify enables us to transform a laptop (or any computer equipped with a wireless Internet card) into a portable site offering Internet access, dividing the Internet into an open (or not) Wi-Fi network. Of course, the cable is not indispensable here: thanks to the program we can also access some other wireless Wi-Fi networks. When the program is working, the user has got access to all its functions, including the list of utilities connected to the network. By means of the program’s interface it is possible to manage the properties of the Internet connection and LAN for any of the utilities connected. The program also enables us to share files and Wi-Fi from 3G and 4G mobile networks. However, the free version is limited here: some functions like copying the configuration of the repeater are only offered by the paid version, just like the option of fully-configurable SSID and technical support.
However, this does not change the fact that Connectify is one of the best programs for servicing wireless Internet networks and is bound to be appreciated by any Wi-Fi enthusiast.
