Country Codes is a small and free database of more than 250 countries, which includes detailed information about the postcodes, dialing codes and other data necessary for communication with other countries.
The program’s main aim is to provide the user with a detailed list of data related to a selected country. The application displays the country’s location (it can also be found by the Internet browser and Google service), ISO 3166-1 Alpha 2-3 codes, ISO number, flag and IDDD code, NDD, the country’s dialing code, FIPS PUB 10-4 code and country domain extensions (.pl for Poland, .us for the USA, etc.), the current time (based on the computer’s system clock), the country’s symbol, IOC code, currency and its local name as well as the acronym used to refer to the country’s language. The program allows us to copy all the information to the clipboard (the user decides themselves which information they wish to copy), as well as enables us to open a website about a given country in the CIA World Fact Book service and Wikipedia. We may also export data provided by the program to the HTML format in order to print it. An interesting option is also displaying the list of IP addresses ascribed to a given country, by means of a IP2Location database.
Its interface is really simple. All we have to do is just choose a country from the list and that’s it/. The program’s great advantage is its portability, so that we can take this database wherever we go by means of the USB flash dive. Country Codes may prove to be very useful for anyone who frequently corresponds or does business with foreign countries.
